How do you multicrew tanks?

Hi guys,

Me and a friend are trying to figure out how to multicrew tanks. I've read on the store page before I bought the game that this is a possibility. When we try to host a coop game its planes only, plus we can't even see the server we host. Any help appreciated.

Cant help with servers but yes you can have your friends crew your tank:
In for example panzer III: You and your friends join the same server that hosts tanks, you chose the tank and in the settings enable the other positions in the tank to open for everyone. Your friends chose to join as a gunner and pick your tank and can then chose between: Gunner, radiooperator and commander.

Only if your friends want to ride the tanks provided in TC - if you only select the two "default" tanks, then

your friends won't need TC. By "default" tanks I mean the Panzer III and the early T34.

 

All other tanks like Sherman, Tiger and KV1 etc. are bound to TC and can only be used in MP, if all own TC.

This is incorrect. You can still multicrew TC tanks if you dont own TC. The player who does not have TC will be restricted to gunner position only but it can still be fun!

Really? Sorry for my lack of knowledge and false information - Didn't know it was like this and always thought this system was only restricted to maps for MP.

This is correct, 3 days ago my friend acted as a gunner in my panzer IV and he dont have tank crew game.

Any idea how to set up a co-op tank game? It would be nice to be able to run small missions. Loading into a larger multiplayer server that is mostly set up for air battles just to spawn in a tank doesn't seem ideal.

I don't know if it even possible to create coop tank missions. As far as I know coop is only possible for aircrafts.

For multiplayer you can look for the EFront server or Finnish Virtual Pilots. Just look for them in the Multiplayer section of your game. But when playing it, watch out for enemy aircrafts.
