It is not clear whether it is necessary to turn it on if the monitor is with G-sync? Perhaps disabling the buffer will adversely affect the smoothness of the picture.

What’s interesting in the video is the effect of GPU utilization on input lag. You’re better to run a stable 60 FPS for example at a low GPU use than a high FPS at a high GPU use.
