Need Help Finding Aces Info!

Well, we're stuck again and need the community's help once again on a research project. We need to create our list of aces for the newspaper in the Career mode. It's a fun little feature we like. We have the American list, but need to create a British and German one. I've created a post in the Developer Assistance area. If you think you can help, please let us know. Thread is here.

Any help is appreciated and I can offer some compensation for your time and effort.

I can give you a list based for GB and the Commonwealth based on Aces High by Shores and Williams.  How far down do you want to go?

Actually, I am going to have to withdraw my offer. Aces High does not seem to have a list of the top aces and it is over 500 pages long.  However, WIKI has a list for both GB and Germany.   Of course the whole number of claims and the accuracy of the claims is a huge discussion on the net.  While the list on WIKI may not be exact,  I will be happy to check the top 50 British against Shores and Williams.  One thing to not is that the names with hyperlinks are going to those who were the best known.

@MaxTurn, it's all taken care of. ? I was able to compile a list based on both volumes of Aces High and Wikipedia.

Good, you must be very efficient. I have both volumes but just use them occasionally for reference.

One of the few still living Aces is Erich Brunotte. Two weeks ago he still flew in a trainer Bf109 G12 at the age of 96.

With 33 confirmed victories, and one time shot down himself, he is the longest living Ace of the German Luftwaffe who flew on the western front during '43 to '45. He flew Bf 109, Fw 190 A, then Ta 152 for a short time, and the last plane (his favourite) was the Fw 190 D-9. He received the German Cross in Gold medal for his duty.

Maybe that is someone to honor by including him, and that he was awarded the medal?

Video of him flying 109.

You're not going to see him in the list unless he was in the top 40. Looking at the scores of the German aces, sorry, but he doesn't even come close.

They were that good, hah. Yeah, I just read that you had compiled a list already anyway. For the topic, my post is redundant.

However, seeing the guy stating "Flying keeps young" after he jumped out of the 109 at age 96 is kind of heartwarming. The YT comments as well, they're all respectful. That's rare here.

Two of Canada's top aces are still alive and kicking and nearing the century mark as well: Russell Bannock (age 99) and Stocky Edwards (98). Americans Bud Anderson (97) and Chuck Yeager (96) are still with us as well.
