Black September livestream! :D

Salute fellow sim pilots!

I got the opportunity to fly in Jasta 5's Black September event in Il-2: Flying Circus yesterday, and it. was. AWESOME!!! ? Even though Flying Circus is still very much a work in progress, there were close to 50 pilots online and lots of intense action. So, I can honestly say I've got a lot of hope for this new installment!

I will probably be traveling during next Saturday, but I fully intend to be back for the session after that! ?

all. Thought i'd post our humble stream from Week 3 here instead of start a new thread.

 

Talbot, Larner and i had the rare pleasure to fly with JG1_Luftritter and JG1_Hook for a change.

We had some excellent engagements against good pilots in a variety of Fokker D7s, Pfalzs and CL2s. Our teamwork improved through the session and by the end i thought it was pretty fluid.

 

This week the map ran into early evening and it was fantastic how the light gradually changed with the low sun becoming a serious factor and visibility to the East became difficult in the magenta gloom. Ok i'm not sure what colour to call it but if i say 'purple haze' people might get the wrong idea. Anyway i couldn't see much in it, or perhaps it was the others hallucinating

 

Still finding gunnery pretty tricky against an aware target who is twisting and dodging, but straightforward shots are super deadly even at long range.

I've only just been able to figure out this video posting malarkey, so this is my 1st attempt at representing the wonderful Black September campaign courtesy of Jasta 5. I've made sure there are no personal skins except mine in it so anonymity is guaranteed for all concerned. If anybody is not happy with it, let me know and I will take it down.

good seeing how things went for our fighters from the south
