Per the title, are we ever going to get it back? Shadow Play videos are a bust unless we do. :(

You deserve a “commendable” for viewing smoothness! Usually VR videos are tough to watch.

Do you agree that cockpits don’t look quite as high quality in VR as they do when playing back on a monitor? The Spit IX cockpit looks quite nice in your video, but in VR it looks just OK to me (compared to another title at least...).

Picture quality in VR - or rather picture resolution is undoubtedly inferior in VR at present but I believe this can only improve.  This improvement won't be driven by gamers or 1g comfychair pilots like me but by the demands of scientific and medical research,  industry and defence users.

And if you're very cynical; the porn industry:(.   However, we'll see the benefits too.  HP's marketing material for the Reverb headset seems firmly aimed at commerce.

Personally,  I fly the other title too but I prefer the BoX Spitty myself.   The trick to making a decent video in BoX or DCS when you use VR is to record your flight using the ingame track recording system then bump up all visual settings to max before replaying the track onto the screen only.  Both games will have recorded the track at the resolution of your VR headset which is pretty high to start with.

Then make your recordings from the track.     And even add a little music.......:)

Question from a 1g comfychair pilot to a professional;

Hasn't my two hundred bucks from ebay Occulus Rift just made this thing obsolete?
