This is pretty much exactly how I'd expect the bomb to act, when hitting a train at that shallow an angle. The boiler on a big locomotive like that is strong as hell. A bomb going a few hundred km/h would make a severe dent, possibly even destroying the boiler, but in the end it would get deflected for sure.
