Defense lines are too clustered and crowded

Hi everyone,

I fly regularly on a server where ground attack is very important, and defense lines are ones of the types of targets that need to be destroyed. I find them too easy to severely damage and destroy, mainly because they are much too dense and too clustered. A real defense position would not have several bunkers and trucks and aa positions all within a stone's throw of each other and easily destroyable by a single 1000kg or even 500kg bomb. Is it possible to have this type of target much bigger and more spread out?

Thanks,

Let's find out by asking the Server Admin and not the Game Developers. :salute:

It can be modified by the server? I thought it was a pre-canned element that the server admins cut and paste into their maps, but that's just my un-researched assumption.

There are pre-canned elements, such as small or large clusters of fuel tanks (and a few associated boxes) or clusters of bunkers. Mission designers can space out these elements (but not the items within the elements) to make them harder to hit together. You can view a few of the pre-canned elements in the mission editor (\bin\editor\STEditor.exe in your game directory). Open the editor and click on "Blocks" at the top right. Then select items in the middle-right pane. The fuel depots are called "arf_gsm_1" and "arf_gsm_2".

What you describe is purely the result of the mission design.

Everything aside from the towns and cities and basic airfield objects are placeable objects. This is 100% the result of mission design and that may even be what the admins of that server want for the effect.

Other servers have different setups.
