They were engaged in Operation BoddenPlatte and ensuing air battles suffering heavy losses fighting against insurmountable odds. Bf109 K4 III./JG26 "Schlageter" Red 5 - unknown pilot - Plantlunne, Germany March 1945. This skin is semi-historical being based on artwork and models.
