How does combat camera (LCtl +F4) work?

Record a "track" ( video) of game session, with your point of view, is saved in:

 

...IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\Tracks

 

That you can use for review your flights or convert, edit for  "Youtube" video.

 

Press once for start, press again for stop.

Why is LCtl+ F4 the same point of view as F4?  This is not how combat camera should work.  Also editing the flight record does nothing.

Sorry, I confuse this "combat camera" with "flight recording" (LCtrl+R).

 

LCtrl+F4 just put the camera chasing your plane, from a fixed position slight above the tail, like "Chase View" in other games, but without show gunsight crosshair ahead the plane.

Don't know the usefulness of this.

Oh, I get it now. The combat camera is on a selfie stick.
