AA_Engadin Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 (edited) Human creativity has no limits, not even the sky! It reaches beyond it, certainly. If you don't believe me, take a look at this one. Awesome! https://getmyo.com/ It does a similar job to Leap Motion's but just doubles it's price [ MYO_149$ shipping late 2013 vs LM_69,99$ shipping early 2013 ] AA_Engadin Edited February 26, 2013 by AA_Engadin
AA_Engadin Posted February 28, 2013 Author Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) I was thinking it would be a good resource of 'buttons' when using Occulus Rift mask/helmet and you run out of them in your HOTAS. Given you couldn't look down at your keyboard while using the OR device, this could be a good way to go. It would the same as with the keyboard - you have to release one hand off the stick or throttle - and instead of hitting the keys, in this case you'd have to move your hands in a weird manner, like those of a balineese dancer . Bearcat Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 For simming I would still want to have a physical interface.. As far as the OR is concerned .. it would be nice for a FPS but for simming, for me at least I think I will stick with a TIR and HOTAS.

If it works as well as it looks like it does, couldn't a person still have a joystick in his hand even if it wasn't what really was controlling the action? A placebo effect I guess.
