fiddlinjim Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 When my Oculus Rift-DK2 arrives approximately July 2014 will it be completely useable with the Premium edition of BOS?
15[Span.]/JG51Costa Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Probably not at first. Jason Then I will keep my DK1 and wait for de CV (hope at end of the year) Saludos Costa
ReviZorro Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Probably not at first. Jason But will it be applicable in the future? What factors it will depend on? And what about DK1 support? Thx for advance.
JG27_Chivas Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 That video is hilarious, but I'm sure the timid would rather use a monitor and trackIR. I'm looking forward to actually feeling like your in the cockpit of a warbird at altitude. WT has enabled VR, DCS will be probably have it enabled by the DK2's release, and eventually BOS. Of course , enabled can mean different things, as I'm sure there are many things that can be done in a sims software to make the VR experience better. Sim software built specifically for VR would probably be better than software adapted for VR use.

Toxin1 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Anyone tried VorpX to emulate Oculus support for BOS alpha?
DD_bongodriver Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I have, it sort of works but none of those 3rd party solutions give a decent 3d depth.
SR-F_Winger Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I do hope in BOS own interest that OR support remains an important necessity to our dear devs. Not to invest in this, with no doubt big feature that will change all gaming, would be a big mistake. The first genre that will be changed is the simgenre.
Toxin1 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I think once we get into mid-summer and the DK2 starts to capture the buzz, the business value side will up the priority for VR support in the fall.
RAY-EU Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I have Test VorpX bought program fo about 40€ To test the Oculus Rift 1 low Definition : Every think ok but I need a Informatic to configure the software VorpX and he was very Interested .Not easy as the trak-ir5 that goes with the Software all toghether and easy to configure and rapid . AA_Engadin Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Thanks for the report Ray. I'll love the day I can put my hands on it and calmly try the sim and 'enjoy the new dimension'. AA_Engadin.
