CD Key

So upon installing IL2 Battle of Stalingrad today i found that im getting #5 License key not activated but i know that this cant be right because i linked my steam account to the website account and activated the key there in december of last year the website also fails to show that i have a key bound to the account now i have a key i know i have a key because i still have the receipt for the purchase of the game last december the problem stems from not being able to view the key through steam where my key is located

Where was the key purchased originally? If neither from steam nor the developers site? that may be your answer.

I purchased it from the steam store on December 25 2018 for $16.99 during a steam christmas sale i've had this product installed and have played it on this pc back in like march or april even

Alright so further contact with the guys over at support has resolved the problem
