InProgress Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 (edited) Sad times, aren't they? Trailer for basketball game has more gambling and lootboxes in it that actual basketball. Original trailer had 14k dislikes for only 150 likes but i think it was removed. Funny/Sad thing is, this game got PEGI +3, i guess fact that CEO of 2K being some important guy in ESRB has nothing to do with it. I don't even have words to describe it, it's just sick... people cry about violence in games but game that has p2w lootboxes, rulette, one hand bandit etc. At least 3 different premium in game currency.. gets rated 3+ for smalles kids. What is wrong with these people? Edited August 30, 2019 by InProgress 4
69th_Mobile_BBQ Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 That and American companies censoring the American version(s) of their games to Chinese standards...…. 1 1 1
Rei-sen Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Big ugly corporations in their endless rat race to maximize the profit no matter what. That's typical for them.
InProgress Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 More of it heh Fun fact is, some new pokemon game got pegi 12 because there was a simulated gambling (no real money involved anywhere, just part of gameplay) but game that has real gambling for money with addictive elements gets +3 pegi. You can see corruption all over the place. There should be some global international investigation and arrests made in these games rating companies. Especially when some countries actually have in in their laws. Germany etc. They won't sell games to kids if it says +18 and you are 15. Governments should take a look at that.
Bremspropeller Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Why would you play figgin basketball as a videogame instead of going outside and throwing a couple of actual balls? 1

Because in casinos kids are still frowned upon using their parents credit card to buy chips. It is further embarrassing if the damsel next to the tables has to ask the „guy“ whether he‘s legal yet.
Bremspropeller Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 ...not sure if this is me, becoming an old phart early, or whether it's society, gradually going down the crapper...

I don't like sport games but it's not the same as playing basketball or other stuff outside. You play as entire team, not just 1 guy. It's more like strategy game, you have view from the top and see all players, you plan how to win with big picture. It's kind of like saying "why do you play gary grigsby war in the east if you can go and fight on ukraine". These are 2 diffrent things, you command entire team, not just run around by yourself.
