list of available axises in game

Where to find a list of all controls that can be assign on axises? or list of all controls with note if it axis assignable or buttons only?

 

Designing me a IL2 simpit, want to know how many axises I need to fly any airplane in game

From what I can recall:

• Throttle
• Mixture
• Prop RPM
• Water Radiator
• Oil Radiator
• Turbosupercharger
• Inlet Cowl Flaps
• Outlet Cowl Flaps
• Gunsight Range
• Gunsight Target Wingspan
• Wheel Brakes
• Horizontal Stabilizer Trim

Water Radiator and Outlet Cowl Flaps can be combined into one lever, since no plane will have both controls.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but water and oil radiator control assigned to a lever won't work for all planes as there are a few (e.g. the Spit or the Bf-110) where either the water or the oil radiator works in steps only (up/down).

So if you want the least number of controls able to operate all possible rads on all planes you need 3 pairs of up/down switches or 2 pairs of switches (for water/outlet and oil) and one lever (for inlet cowl flaps).

Yes, that's right, but he may want to have both the buttons / switches for the planes with fixed radiator settings and levers for the rest. That's what I have on my throttle unit.
