Few noobish questions

Hey,

 

Thought I'd finally dust off old flightstick and try these fancy "new" titles since IL-2. So CoD Blitz is separe from rest? or needs some add-ons? Eastern front stuff all seems be modern pay per pack stuff. And everything naturally requires Steam too? ? Okay noticed that ol' Hyperlobby was deserted so servers run thru Steam? How's the server population these days?

Hyperlobby exist just for old il 2

great battle servers are within the gameinterface

cod blitz can be installed entirely with steam and you find the servers within the interface of the game. 

All these games is familyrelated through 1CS

but git different developers and are as such not connected

Only for IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Steam is obligatory. BTW - For a while Hypperlobby support Cliffs of Dover, but no one care about, time of Hyperlobby and OM IL-2's had passed.

 

For IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 (the old series) and IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles (BoS, BoM, BoK, BoBp...) Steam not required,  unless you bough this games from Steam.

 

Notice that you have three different "IL-2 Sturmovik" games, not compatible in between.

 

Online population these days - in all, is just a faction of IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 haydays in Hyperlobby.

 

Will find more players regularly in IL-2 Sturmovik: Great battles servers, accessible though their interface.

Thanks! Ouch, yea was kinda thinking it would be like that populationwise. Well still would prefer the ancient non-steam method, guess I need check out the Great Battles in bit more detail.

If you buy any of the IL2 BoX titles through the website here, you do not need Steam.
