jollyjack Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 (edited) For some reason TimeScale is not working anymore in my (Kuban)setup above normal; -4, -2, normal all OK. But +2,+4, and + 8 not. The indicator on the game screen gives the right values, but between normal and +8 the game runs in normal tempo. Annoying when loading long flight-times before the action. Can it be some graphics or video settings are wrong? PS This is with a mission from a 3rd party, involving an ME110, but weird, with another mission with a YAK7B time scaling works OK, same startup.cnf file (sse below). Here's a list from my Startup.cnf file, with these adapted settings from Geronimo i have no more stutters with my probably outdated ASUS Radeon R7 360 OC GPU card: [KEY = account] login = "" password = "" [END] [KEY = camera] cinematic = 0 head_smooth = 0.85000 hmd_restricted = 0 shake = 0 [END] [KEY = force_feedback] amplitude = 1.00000 enabled = 1 force = 1.00000 [END] [KEY = graphics] 3dhud = 0 adapter = 0 bloom_enable = 1 desktop_center = 1 detail_rt_res = 1024 draw_distance = 1.00000 fps_counter = 0 fps_limit = 60 full_height = 1080 full_width = 1920 fullscreen = 0 gamma = 1.20000 grass_distance = 0.00000 hdr_enable = 0 land_anisotropy = 0 land_tex_lods = 0 max_cache_res = 0 max_clouds_quality = 2 mgpu_compatible = 0 mirrors = 1 multisampling = 2 or_enable = 0 post_sharpen = 0 preset = 2 rescale_target = 1.00000 shadows_quality = 2 ssao_enable = 1 vsync = 0 win_height = 1080 win_width = 1920 [END] [KEY = input] exclusive = 1 input_map = "input.map" mouse_plane_control = 0 old_trackir = 0 [END] [KEY = interface] forces_color_mode = 0 language = "eng" log = "_gui.log" scale = 1.00000 showcompas = 1 showicons = 1 units = "metric" withdebug = 0 [END] [KEY = iservice] proxy_name = "alpha.il2sturmovik.net:443" register_url = "" server_debug = "" try_ping = 0 try_web_port = 1 use_proxy = 1 [END] [KEY = network] available_ip = "[object Object]" client_download_traflimit = 1000 client_ip = "" client_upload_traflimit = 1000 downloader_port = 28100 server_download_traflimit = 1000 server_upload_traflimit = 1000 tcp_port = 28000 udp_port = 28000 [END] [KEY = sound] count = 32 debug_radio = 0 interface = 1 interface_music = 0 quality = 1 speedenable = true volume = 0.68000 [END] [KEY = system] bin_log_folder = "" chatlog = 0 debug_info = 0 debug_render = 0 dlgbox_sky = 0 gamelog = 0 keep_binary_log = 0 mgenlog = 0 mission_text_log = 1 modes = 1 playoffline = 0 reset_configs = 0 show_net_skins = 1 skin_dir = "graphics\Skins\" text_log_folder = "" [END] [KEY = track_record] fx_sound = 2 record_graphics_effect = 0 record_ground_vehicles = 1 [END] [KEY = updater] language = "eng" locales = "rus,eng,ger,spa,fra,pol" seed = 1 [END] THNX, J ps i will be gone fishing 10th 'til 18th of august ..... FTC_DerSheriff Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 (edited) This is usually due to Hardware limits. The cpu can't process the game fast enough. Edited August 11, 2019 by DerSheriff 1
simfan2015 Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 'This is usually due to Hardware limits' ... indeed a known issue. If I look at a sim (EA on steam) UBOAT ... had some issues with time compression too. Can also be ... the other way around... If you play an old game on a new system you can really see some strange things too, time compression, speed up or not. [If we were able to play games/sims of today on theorethically almost infinitely fast systems and resource unlimited, something like 32K graphics cards, in the year 2030 or so ... then game designers should have been taken into consideration that quite some limitations/restrictions/slowdowns had to put be in place or vice versa (support for ultra high resolutions like that, 1024-core 25-Ghz Gz CPUs ... !?). I, personally, would like to test that ?) 1
jollyjack Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 OK, thanks ..... i'll start saving for a better system .....

That said I am on a i7 4790k overclocked (which is older but has still some beef) and on Kuban in certain areas I get 2x at maximum. The game is super CPU hungry especially in SP
jollyjack Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 i am trying overclocking my i7 920, sticking at 1920 x 1080; never really bothered about OC-ing, and just read some info about it. Now i wonder what hardware will be needed for a truly 4k experience if any, or possible at all ....
