Hartigan Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Hi, i was struggling with blue screen for a couple of weeks when playing IL2 and I think I resolved it today . Game crashed after 3-15 min to the desktop or caused blue screen. I tested everything ,older Nvidia drivers, ram ,CPU overclocks ,stress tests and almost reinstalled windows10( last thing to do) Pc was stable on desktop and I suspect that VR had something to do with BSOD. IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL error could be almost anything ,hardware or driver issue. Solution was simple. I removed Oculus software, tray tool and every single Oculus folders from program files and from c/user/appdata. Then reinstalled Oculus home only and game is working flawlessly again! Maybe CCleaner or Win10 update broke some drivers and caused BSOD. Happy landings
Grabowski Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 hi there, im getting the same problem without VR tho and only since today. i havent flown in the last few weeks, it was all fine before. no graphical issues. any ideas?
Hartigan Posted October 21, 2019 Author Posted October 21, 2019 Hi, i have totally forget to update this post. After Oculus fix CTD/BSOD still occured after couple of days, maybe week. Next thing you may want to check, if you have overclocked memory from BIOS, is to check XMP profile. Mine is 2x8 GB 2166mZh without OC and 3000Mzh with XMP profile 1. They worked fine for about 2 years but now caused CTD and BSOD with different error messages including BSOD IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL. By setting XMP profile1 and lowered 3000Mzh to 2933Mzh fixed my issues and zero CTDs after that.
