Well, at least he didn't crash that Mustang like Gentile did! And in front of the cameras, no less!

I've always wondered why, with all the camera crews that were supposed to be there, we've never seen film of his buzz job and then of the crash? I've long suspected it was confiscated by the USAAF.

I was reading about a DeHavilland Vampire Squadron Leader the other day, who went out into the middle of the airfield so his fellow pilots could make low level passes like that for the camera. 

One of them took his head off with his wingtip.

If it was a real Vampire Squadron his head would have regenerated.
