Virtual Squadrons Badges and Squadron Markings Online

Hello guys !!!

 

I would like to ask the developers to create an option to enable on line customized markings and squadron badges on planes. I am not talking about entire aircraft skins but only a small badge over the default skins to identify our squadrons when we are not using historical markings.

 

Maybe we can upload our badges and markings to developer's website and they can include them on a future game patch so we don't need to download them before each mission and avoiding increase servers traffic costs. You should select customs aircraft markings menu inside game options and choose your virtual squadron badge.

As long as I can toggle it off - too many people put stupid crap on thier aircraft and I don't wish to see most of it - just look at the stupid pilot skins people used in the old Il-2.

This is a great improvement on this idea. I remember a guy that used to fly a Ju88 with giant yellow smileys   on AW. That is why I suggested only squadron badges and accurate national markings but skins would be great too if we are able to control the quality. Anyway, a turn off switch is probably the best solution for it.

And why do you care if it's Claudia Schiffer skin piloting a virutal aircraft?

 

Do you want to make flight simming so hard core that the numbers of players dwindle to only those who have sim-pits and "squads" with highly structured chains of command?

Because I do not want to see rainbow bright and / or vulgar and offensive squadron insignia. If you want to see that then you can control that on your end. RoF does aircraft skins right - I only get to see the ones I chose to download. If they do that with squad insignjia, and other personal decals that can be added to our aircraft, that would be great - again I will only see the ones I downloaded. Or if they decide to allow this stuff like the old Il-2 the client should be able decide what they want to see (skin download off).

 

The above may sound like elitism to you but so what..?

 

There are too many attention seekers that troll these games. Allowing anyone to put anything they want on their aircraft would be ridiculous.

Custom Badges on/off

Custom Skins on/off

Custom National Markings on/off

 

When you turn it off, you get default and historical ones.

 

You also should have an option to download or not players custom skins when you are updating game to avoid downloading unnecessary files.

Does anyone know if there will be the ability to have swastickers on the tails of German aircraft? I downloaded a mod for Cliffs of Dover where you could do this and it just added to the game experience..?
