No.54_Reddog Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Back in October 2018 Mysticpuma (who by then was not TF) posted the following Thanks for the update. Lots of great info. Sad though that this means it probably won't see the light of day until June as Jason won't want it to clash with Bodenplatte. Also this means it would be released in the flight sim dead zone when most players are out enjoying the great weather. All that can be hoped is that the extra time you now have can be used to refine and perfect the product and maybe by next August it will be ready and raring to go with the vast amount of content worked on completed and polished to within an inch of it's life. Will be worth the wait but hopefully there will be at least more than TFS still around who will be there to buy it ? As you can see he was reacting to the update herewhich said TFS "probably could have achieved a Christmas release". His suggestion that TF5 would land in August prompted this retort from Buzzsaw. I think you will find your speculations as to release date are wildly pessimistic. So I guess my point is this, who, if anyone, was being "wildly" anything? I think it's not unfair to say that if anything MP was being optimistic. Given beta testing hasn't started yet (nor any sign of the map being finished, the AI changes, the Wellington etc etc) I'd be amazed if there was a release in the 28 days remaining of August. I wonder if Buzzsaw will have the grace to apologise to MP and accept it was nothing more than hyperbole and that TFS have no plan or timetable worth a damn? 2
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted August 3, 2019 Team Fusion Posted August 3, 2019 Hello Reddog In answer to your question: Yes, we have not finalized our release as quickly as we might have hoped, but not from lack of effort. Unfortunately for a team whose members all have jobs, families and commitments, sometimes real life in the form of illness, job demands, etc. intrudes and reduces the time they have to spend on their 'hobby'. We can't make absolute demands or set deadlines for team members who are doing this out of a love of the game and genre. We have had some stumbles in our generally steady forward progress. If you want me to apologize for a few words of optimism several months ago... then sure. If you want me to apologize for a team who is working as hard as they can and who are all doing superb work, then I am sorry, I can't. We will finish this project, we are making great strides every day and we are confident of releasing something which I think the majority of the community will enjoy. Perhaps some won't, but there have always been those who prefer to attack TF rather than accept the idea we are doing this for any positive reason. Thread is closed. 2 2 1
