jollyjack Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 (edited) I worked with TARGET for Cliffs BLITZ for a while, and now i am trying out Devrecorder instead. One question: Manually editing the confUser.ini file in Documents: how do you address a double hardware related access to a game function? f.i. i now have these entries, set by the game, but it doesn't work for Autopilot: [HotKey common] A 5_axis_32_button_joystick_with_hat_switch-3DED743F+Key25=autopilot (SET by the game, pressing a button on the Throttle ardware, and A on the keyboard) O=door_open M=map etc Now the Q: should i do this instead?: [HotKey common] A=autopilot 5_axis_32_button_joystick_with_hat_switch-3DED743F+Key25=autopilot O=door_open M=map etc Edited August 1, 2019 by jollyjack

Select the "Toggle AI control"* command and just press the button 25 in this "5_axis_32_button_joystick_with_hat_switch-3DED743F" device, don't press A. CloD allow yous set any key (or joy button) as modifier for other keys, joystick button or axis, so if you press "A" together with button, this "A" became a modifier and in game will need press "A+button 25" for execute the command, like in your file: A 5_axis_32_button_joystick_with_hat_switch-3DED743F+Key25=autopilot If want leave A assigned as "default", instead click over "A" and remap for button 25, just highlight the command "Toggle AI control" and click in NEW. This create a copy of "Toggle AI Control" command and now you can assign button 25, but keeping A assigned too. You can use many keys/buttons you want for do the same command. * For (AI) autopilot (Toggle AI Control) work the option "No AI control" in "Realism" options need be unchecked. The options (in Aircraft section) for "Course Autopilot..." is for "Kurssteuerung" of Bf 110, He 111, Ju 88, borrowed too by Blenheim and Br.20 for "gameplay" purposes. In confUser.ini the names of related commands is "kursst_"something". Edited August 1, 2019 by Sokol1 1
jollyjack Posted August 1, 2019 Author Posted August 1, 2019 (edited) Thanks, i will look into it tomorrow; can't access my PC with IL2; my granddaughter took control of the whole room on some playmobil castle mission LoL. So i guess the same is with F, and flaps toggle. Add a NEW one, as the warthog throttle unit has a Flaps DN-M-UP 3 fold push button switch. Got that working through TARGET in BoS, butt not in Cliffs. Also for some camera view situations i'd like to address on the Joystick besides keyboard. Toggle between F1 cockpit view, and F4 for follow plane on the Joystick too. Been practicing with a Hurricane chasing Bombers, trying out various sensitivity AXIS settings ..... hard to hit them destructively unless from a close call. In IL-2 1946 quite a bit easier ... At least the Sturmovik had a Big Great Gun option in there .... --------------------------------------------------------------------------- PS just tried the Su 26 plane loaded in a solo flight sight seeing Quick Mission in CloDB. No enemies, but activated a bunch of fly along extra planes .... they all got shot by aliens, i guess. All disappeared in a while, "killed' according stats. Edited August 1, 2019 by jollyjack

Don't use "Toggle Landing Flaps" - Work OK for Spitfire 2 positions, but not for the other planes, anyway the option bellow work better for Warthog flaps switch even for Spitfire. Lower Landing Flaps Position - set on button #23 Raise Landing Flaps Position - set on button #22 This leave (Warthog) switch synchronized with Spitfire cockpit lever (Up/Down). For Hurricane, Bf 109 and other planes, for set a given amount of degrees of flaps down, e.g. 28º for take-off with Hurricane, put (Warthog) switch down, this start lower flaps, when cockpit indicator reach the desired position move switch up, this put in game command in "Neutral" and stop flaps in actual position. An advanced operation can be set in TARGET, for switch in middle position send command (both raise and lower) what act like a "Neutral". Bad news: Bf 109 don't have flaps position painted in flaps (like in IL-2:GB, DCS World), so you need guess any intermediary position. Quote Also for some camera view situations i'd like to address on the Joystick besides keyboard. Toggle between F1 cockpit view, and F4 for follow plane on the Joystick too. Just do like in previous post, make "NEW"* copies of commands and assign for joy buttons, case don't want re-map default assignments (what in CloD have conflict between commands - in mouse left button and keys assigned for "ghost" commands). "NEW" just don't work for axis commands. Edited August 20, 2019 by Sokol1 1 1
jollyjack Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 thanks for all you tips, great help ! PS on the warthog throttle unit's flaps position buttons i cannot access 23, so i set 21 instead. Might only function in TARGET maybe, i'll look into that.
