wings of liberty team speak how to join

hello

i am convinced from what i see in game that players are coordinating with others to cover a bombing run with fighters watching over them just to name one case i went through  . So my question is can i go into Wings of Liberty and team up with however i find  at the field before take off ? if not then how are they connecting with each other since i also saw yesterday 5-6 A20's take off together , this was'nt random or just by chance , it was coordinated .
