Failed to update

I keep getting this message when trying to login and the update starts.

Has anyone possibly an idea what might be wrong,

(I've contacted support but that might take a while.)

What I did is: go to the folder (where the game is installed) 1C Game Studios / IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles / updates and delete everything inside the folder updates, just don't delete the folder (save the files somewhere else just in case). Try again. It should upgrade just fine. I got it from a thread regarding failed upgrades.

 

EDIT: you might keep the SNAP files, because I lost the eyesight view presets. I'm not sure if you should keep any other file, but I think I just missed the eyesight view presets. Or perhaps try just deleting the previous updates (the folders with dates).

Get rid of the updated  config sys file in that folder before you start otherwise you will lose your head positions.

 

Not an issue if you use default settings.

Luckily, it was too late (in the evening for me to try) so it wasn't too late...!

That fixed it and was simple enough for me to handle.
