111fritznack Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Hi anyone/Sir: Good day. i just installed the BOS game on my desktop/Laptop lately but when i played the game starts in mission one but once Im into the cockpit the controls response gets so laggy. My rig is i5 6400 in win7 OS. This I think meets the minimum requirement for the game graphics but the only reason i think is not on the registration process which the game ask for my email with authentic password and that it never gets me automatically in a playing mode but rather complain the authencity of my win7. Pls if this is the problem which my all other games never did encounter im so deeply depressed as its my first time that a game questioned my O.S.[win7]. So far I think I have spent more time in writing like this than playing with joy and if this isnt in the right section pls understand and its always good to switch to proper section as this is a sort of asking for help. I hope an answer will enlighten my query in an aspect to keep me enjoy what i have bought and wished to play. Regards... - Fritz

=RS=Stix_09 Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 (edited) Post the specific laptop model and brand (model number is usually on a label on underside) and I can tell if it meets minimum specs. I my experience non gaming laptop graphics cards are usually a cut down version of a desktop graphics card (with less function and capability) because laptops are designed around low power consumption and heat reduction not performance, and desktop graphics cards generally produce a lot of heat (more than most laptops can deal with). If anything its going to be the graphics cards ability that is the limitation. English is clearly not you native language , so I'm unclear what you are saying about the registration process?? It's also a good idea to tell people what version of game you purchased (the steam version or the one from the developer directly) (also win 7 needs to be the 64 bit version) Minimum system requirements OS: 64-bit Windows® 7 (SP1) / Windows® 8 / Windows® 10 CPU: Intel® Core™ i5/i7 2.8 GPU: GeForce GTX 660/Radeon HD 7770 with 2GB VRAM or better DirectX: Version 11 RAM: 4 Gb+ Sound Card: DirectX®-compatible Storage space: 23 Gb+ Internet connection: 256Kb/s for single-player career, 1Mb/s and faster for multi-player DirectX® compatible flight stick is recommended Edited July 30, 2019 by =RS=Stix_09
111fritznack Posted July 30, 2019 Author Posted July 30, 2019 Thanks to the response and concern just for a little flashback on this regard of registration I mention , my steam acct was once hack thru phishing upon reading a certain forum about mods/modding on il2 BUT THAT WAS IL2 1946 AND IT POINTS TO A CERTAIN LINK TO CONTINUE THE CONVERSATION OF A CERTAIN RUSSIAN. Later i found out it was a phishing link which i gave it all. Once my steam acct was on that hacker it added a Russian friend on steam and transferred my games to that guy and somehow in Russian language and currency. That guy even emailed me.Thru the luck after more than a month or two of staying afloat l recovered my acct. with this still friend of the hacker on my acct. and why I hesitate now to give the info about emails. That was several months ago. Its was from a Russian Republic and assume theyre out there waiting like a mine sitting for its next victim. Anyway change topic, now my issue is graphics card on my PC and never mind on my laptop as its use in the office. Hope this provides my hesitance tho I gave in on the registration requirement the game has and as we- here on my country we use win7 and my win 10 installer via usb was lost. its authentic when i bought my laptop and I dont know how and why OS authenticity can be an issue for just a game to run for entertainment sake. I as an end user, would never know why and even understand how the game in business would get this in a disadvantage mode. So being here in this country with 300 ping its most likely to run the game offline, but actually wanted onllne too even when we got the worst signal in the history of online gaming by its service provider, with this its depressing . I will update this issue about my graphics card capability when i get on the time to. -Regards Fritz Ph
ShamrockOneFive Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 I doubt that IL-2 is going to be asking for authenticity of your windows install. Copy us the message or show us some screenshots so we can see what's happening. That doesn't sound right.
111fritznack Posted July 31, 2019 Author Posted July 31, 2019 Hi Im back So heres my rig: Pls see below if its zoomable pic. And for the problems regarding registration- I totally forgot or maybe never got the flick of a second took a screenshot on the OS authentification screening the game has. But i uploaded a few below tho this is may not the right one but at least its a screenshot... and BTW I dont understand on pic3, 'no master server' does it mean i will register to a 'one' Master server? I already downloaded all the files. The last pic what it means when keys unactivated? I dont recieved any key or maybe it does? For enlightening answers I would be thankful. Just asking here as Im not used to it since the last game I had on steam and off steam. -Regards Fritz Ph
[FD]_5_Scarecrow Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 It would seem that your graphics card may not be of sufficient size to achieve smooth gameplay. You can compare the specifications of the GT 740 here: https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-740/specifications with the minimum recommended card here: https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-660/specifications When comparing Nvidia product numbers it is the second digit that is the most important in determining the power of the card (740 vs 660). Unfortunately I cannot be of any help with your login issues. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be able to provide some assistance.

This is because some laptops run two video cards, one is the fast NVidia or what have you that you expect it to have and the other is a punny intel affair with no guts for 3d gaming, known as the "integrated graphics card". What you need to do is open your Nvidia control panel by right clicking on some clear spot on your desktop, then click on "Nvidia control panel" Once that opens look on the left and click on 3d settings/manage 3d settings, if it hasn't already opened at that. Then in the main area click "program settings" Now at 1. Select a program to customize, click on the drop down and select IL2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad(il2.exe) and if you cannot find it click on Add, then go through that process...same for the editor and paint preveiw thing if you use them. Now at 2. Make sure you have "High performance Nvidia processor" selected, save and your done. This is essential and no mater how good a video card you have in a laptop, if it is running IL2 on the "integrated graphics card" IL2 will be laggy as per your description. Hope this helps.
111fritznack Posted August 8, 2019 Author Posted August 8, 2019 (edited) Niner and Pict, to all that clears my query: Thanks for the reply its appreciated very much. Regards, -Fritz Hope this video card below will insert right at the gigabyte motherboard and if there present in the comp.shop. This should be it, for NVIDIA and GIGABYTE Motherboard--current use : Gigabyte H110M-DS2 Motherboard (Socket 1151, H110 Express, DDR4, S-ATA . Edited August 8, 2019 by 111fritznack add text

Is it good as GT660 for the BOS game's min. requirement? Well, to be honest, the min. requirements advised by the producer is some kind of obsolete. So, my suggestion depending on your budget would be at least the GTX 1060 6GB. Anything lower might be disappointing for you. Forget the GT660, this is absolutely under-powered for this game, especially when the devs will expand the bubble distance in one of the next updates.
