Actually, if you want to improve, then you should go here:

 

it's a one stop shop for all your IL-2 needs... including dogfighting.

You need to join a squad and talk to real people. There is a limit how  much entirely theoretical studies can be usefull. The learning curve is very steep indeed.

Sometimes it can be impossible if you fly on  both sides ;)

Or if you don't have a lot of time.

Flying on comms online even with just randoms can be very helpful. I've gotten some very good help and tips from people I just happened to fly online with. In any case, the first step is to get the basics of flying your aircraft  and learning gunnery skills. This kind of thing can be done largely on your own with reading and watching videos, it is not really complicated. 1 on 1 combat can be learned on your own (though you will learn faster with help). Fighting effectively as part of a team in a combat zone needs practice, unsurprisingly, with a team in a combat zone.

Hey man we flew together at one point, I took a long break was wondering if you're willing to the same some time? I'm eager to learn.
