Hey all!

While waiting for Bodenplatte, join Vlad Katlakov in the Battle of Moscow. The Career is played with full realism, labels off, on medium difficulty, realistic career speed and with medium density of frontline activity. Iron man setting is on, so death or capture means the end!

I decided to edit the recordings to make them somewhat interesting to watch. Consider them highlights of the career. I will record maybe every tenth mission or so. Vlad´s career progress can be followed in the video description, with his stats and current score. Will he survive until spring? Stay tuned!

Episode 1:

1941.10.16

Vlad Katlakov has recently joined the 126th IAP PVO at Khimski Airfield just northwest of Moscow. In his second mission he is ordered to Intercept a flight of German Bombers. He scores his first victories and is almost shot down by escorting Bf 109´s.

Career progress:
Rank: Junior Lieutenant
Missions: 2
Air Victories: 3
Ground Victories: 0

Ep.2

1941.10.23

A couple of missions under his belt, Vlad needs to cover friendly ground forces from a flight of Bf 109 E7´s. The excellent firepower of the P-40 comes in handy.

Career progress:
Rank: Junior Lieutenant
Missions: 6
Air Victories: 7
Ground Victories: 11

The main reason I liked it is because of the amount of third-person views you use. It makes it a LOT more entertaining for the viewer that having purely 'in-cockpit' view. Keep it up[, I WILL stay tuned for more!

In the first video the ME109 goes down to the ground and it should have been destroyed on impact, and it just bounces and slides loosing parts.

I have seen this many times happen with various planes, but the damage modeling here or the fuselage structure resistance is much too high and not realistic.

There is an angle of impact issue here. Vertical fall hitting the ground is ok. But at certain angles the plane still should be destroyed maybe with parts flying in a direction, but the rebounds on the ground are too high.

Interesting argument. I was also surprised about that particular incident.

I like the progression you've made in regards to attacking planes with turrets, you can watch your early vids and see you more or less come up behind and wobble around and get hit, to now making nice slicing attacks and working the vertical. Nice progress!

Lovely kill on that first 110. Brutal and efficient with no wasted bullets.    Good flying by the final 110.   He stopped you just barrel rolling back for an easy second pass by doing the same himself and he could have got you on that  later climbing attack if he had just been able to get a few more degrees of lead but then you made him pay for using up all his E with a spectacular kill. Good work.

@ 4:20, it appears that the AI Bf-110 is fighting and shooting in the vertical; isn't that a remarkable improvement in AI tactics?

The Ju-88 crew bailout sequence at or about 2:35 is amazing!
