Notepad/Overlay of another window (in VR)

Just starting flying in IL2 in VR. Is there any way to place my own note/another program window into cockpit view (say on the pilot laps/seat)? I'm planning missions in Mission Planner, do I have to take headset off to glance at my mission / physical note?
