dburne Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 A fairly common issue since the release of the Rift S, very brief white static flashes from time to time. Seemed to effect most, some more so than others. I had them but very random and not that often. Oculus confirmed they had a fix, and pushed out the update to the Public Test Channel yesterday evening. It appears it has solved that issue for many, myself included. It will eventually push out to release version after they finish with the PTC testing to make sure no more bugs, for now anyone wanting to can get it by opting in to the Public Test Channel in the Oculus desktop app , under the beta tab. So glad they were able to address this with firmware. They have really improved it since release for the white static issue along with better tracking especially when using the Touch Controllers. My Rift S is golden now!
seafireliv Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 (edited) I was getting the white flashes too, but it was quite rare. However, I didn`t see it as a good thing at all, but wasn`t worried as I knew they had to fix it. I haven`t used the Rift S for a week, so I`ll be glad to try it today! Edit: Well after a couple of hours, not seen a single flash. So it looks good. Edited July 27, 2019 by seafireliv
