Creep Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 For those of you with the Samsung Odyssey+ (or any VR unit that utilizes "inside-out tracking") , I have some information that may be useful to you if you are having head tracking problems. I was, and I finally figured out why and solved it. One side of my cockpit is about one foot from a solid color wall, and whenever I turned my head in that direction strange things would happen: my perspective would slide forward, flip inverted, or not change at all. What I found is that this is because the IR cameras in the unit were unable to determine the headset orientation because everything in the camera's field of view was the same (a flat, solid color wall). I put a poster up on that wall and the problem is 100% solved - no glitches whatsoever! 3 1

It`s not so bad in low light. I can go on until quite dark before it fails. But I`m not using it right now as it`s just too hot anyway!
SIA_Sp00k Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Some further clarification on this, TWC has determined through extensive trial and error that the only posters that guarantee success as a sure fix are “My little Pony” posters. The rainbow spectrum colours accompanied by the duck egg blue background or hot pink background tend to provide the most neutral response to the headsets sensors. Definately a useful addition to any pilots simpit. Please show pics and help others. Thanks Creep. 6
