game client fails to update

Saw a new update for the game was released today so started the game client and run as administrator and even anti virus off as they recommend it on the forum, downloads the 2GB of data and it starts installing and gets: Failed to update. Tried several times and restarted my pc, nope same results, last time this happened was when I downloaded the game, all updates since then has been straight forward until now, now its back to trying to get the game to work again. Anyone here having the same problem or know a solution besides reinstalling the game and relive the problems of installing it again?

Uses the games own client, not steam on windows 10 pc.

Had the very same issue for the first time. Just delete the folder called "updates" in your game folder and restart your launcher.

Everything should work fine after that.

the problem is know: when you get *Failed to update*, close the launcher, go to the IL2 Data file and delete the *Updates* directory. Re-launch the game, it will re dl the update. It's the only way here know to do, problem it looks like it doesn't work, I tried it 2 times here it's my third and last time. We are not alone to have that problem, many people have it too...

I had the problem once and deleted the Updates folder and currently downloading the file again. But it seems like it is taking ages to download.
