Herne Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 IL2 is pretty good Tend not to fire up the PC though if the weather is too hot. Too uncomfortable in the rift. I see a mobile aircon unit coming into my life at some point in the future

When I want something like that, I play House Flipper (plus the Garden Flipper dlc) on Steam. It's a game where you buy, renovate and then sell homes, you'll find plenty of vids on YouTube showing what it's like.

We have 36 degree Celsius here in Germany...so, no need for sitting in a dark overheated room in front of a Monitor. I spend my time with my friends, do a ride with my bike or paint some graffiti on the train line, drink a cold beer, smoke some stuff and later make a barbecue in the evening. Cheers ?
Chief_Mouser Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 I think you guys are talking to a bot. We used to get a lot of these on the 242 forums; names almost plausible and questions and answers in slightly awkward English.

Dutch2 Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 (edited) Only rFactor2 & Assetto Corsa both in VR and only the old cars, nice to see how many free mods are made for all those race games. edit: and driving AC in VR, is not relaxing, but very intense. Edited July 24, 2019 by Dutch2
Gambit21 Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Assetto Corsa Competizione Netscape has me curious about these line battle sims though. Probably good that I'm too busy to really look into it too much right now.

Getting more and more bot junk calls nowadays. I like asking if they're a bot and they laugh and deny it. You can hear the program switch prior to each statement. They'll get better and better at though, but they haven't come up with a decent answer for "what are you wearing" yet. 1
NETSCAPE Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 I've been playing a lot of Empire Total War lately. The turn based aspect is relaxing I suppose... but engaging 5,000+ enemy Mughal's every turn in the realtime battles all because I JUST WANTED TO BRING SOME TEA BACK TO BRITAIN - is somewhat stressful. The East India Company will have it's tea! 1
Dutch2 Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 When reading all of this, I was asking myself, how do some get the time to play 10 games, is this just a matter I do own 10games, or are you playing this 10 games at a couple of mouths period or are you retired/no children/no wife? Because in my situation I been limited to the weekend mornings because yep not retired/have children & wife ?

Just recently picked up Fallout 4 VR on a sale, never had played any of the Fallout series and so far looks like I am going to enjoy it. Trouble is tearing myself away from IL-2 here and there to get some more time in with it.
Leon_Portier Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 (edited) Recently I enjoy Anno 1404 a lot! Its a city builder with a trade elements and a tiny bit of combat sprinkled in. Edited July 25, 2019 by [N.O.G.F]Leon_Portier 1

F16C Viper can or will be able to give you the feeling of flying and being up in the Air like WW I & II warbirds can ... Yes, I too am already anticipating the DCS Viper, but even more so the next IL-2 BOBP Allied Warbirds ! IL-2 and DCS ... what real men want (except for 1 or 2 more things) . RAY-EU Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 (edited) The total complete ww2 Simulator : I would wish IL2 with Infantry crew like Arma 3 , at least at the beginning with armored light cars with machine guns and cannons : Edited July 27, 2019 by RAY-EU
Flashy Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Kingdom Come Deliverance - an absolutely awesome historical RPG. Total labour of love from Warhorse studios and makes Skyrim look like it was made by amateurs.. Dawn of Man - pre-historic city/village builder. Nice and chilled pace, well done but fairly limited in its scope. I put this on when I want to have an afternoon nap in front of the PC.. Doom - mostly the original from 1993 with the Brutal Doom mod - if you haven't tried brutal Doom, you haven't lived.. Doom 2016 is also pretty good.

There are some groups which play every friday on CET 20:00 (since over 10 years now). Also, Darkest Hour is absolute active....2-4 full servers, depending on day and time. So, you will find your battle there 1

There is barely 20 people for most of the time, only 1 server gets 40-60 in the evening. I have no idea where you got that stats from. This game was never that active to have 4 full servers. Record was 285 people but that was in 2012.. this game thanks to "awesome" gameplay choices by devs, lost 50% of it's playerbase. (Talking about darkest hour) Edited August 29, 2019 by InProgress
Jade_Monkey Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 If you have a VR headset I'd really recommend VTOL VR, and H3VR. Both very fun and immersive.
namhee2 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Am I the only one, or no one dares ...?it does not always have to be fight and kill, fun is good too.

Man that's rough, here in the good old US of A down in the countries armpit also known as Florida we have central air conditioning. Sitting in the computer room at a comfortable 22c while it's a blazing and balmy 40c outside. Gotta love AC. Edited September 9, 2019 by JonRedcorn 1
Dogbert1953 Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 ETS2 & ATS, purchased everything for both games and haven't stopped playing since 1st August.
Rei-sen Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Finished Mafia II a week ago. That was I believe 5th time I completed that game. What a great masterpiece! Couple of days ago finished Spec Ops the Line - not bad, story is very good. What I'm playing right now is Heavy Rain. It's just awesome!
