reinstalling IL2 1946 Forgotten Battles ERROR

I decided to reinstall IL2 1946 Forgotten Battles from the ground up.

(Window 10 pro 64bit; during install i skipped DirextX 8, as a newer one resides already)

 

i get this when i try to start, what's up?:

What is your install media? Download? CDs? Also, I see from your other post that you had 4.12.2 working. That is all I have updated to, as all good mods use that version. You should try installing DirectX 8 as sometimes older games seem to need the old version.
