onlyforbrian Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Hi, while flying the JU88 (single player) I can switch positions, bombadier, dorsel gunner, belly gunner etc., and hit "T" and take over and fire the gun at that position, but I can't for the life of me get the pilot to fire his gun.. I have the trigger on my joystick set to fire the main guns, which works in the fighters but doesn't work for the pilot in the JU88, I use left mouse button to fire guns in the gunner's positions, so is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong. I've tried every combination, including turning off the gunner position, nothing works to get the pilot to fire his gun with the reticle sight.
Juri_JS Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Unfortunately in the game you can't fire the forward MG when you are in the pilot position, although im reality it was possible. When you are in the pilot seat the MG is even shown in its locked fixed position for use by the pilot, so I've no idea why this feature was never added.

I know it worked in earlier versions of IL2... a shame it doesn't work now. At least now I know it wasn't me lol

Juri_JS Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 What's also missing on the Ju-88 as modification is the fixed 20 mm MGFF that was often installed, when no level bombing sight was used.
TWC_Birdtail Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Been getting used to the 88 and have a couple of questions.....can you remove gun from pilots position seems to be in the way more times than not (can remove in CLOD) and the key binding for bomb delay timing not working for me...what am I missing??
