Ok, maybe it can't rival the 1941 IL-2, but it has some tricks up its sleeve. Think the MG FF can't kill tanks? Think Again.

Nice, yeah those light tanks have really thin armor. Have you tried with the 15mm guns in the 109 F-2 and the stock Hs 129? They should kill them too and from longer range.

Done it many times in the 129 - when the MK 103 runs out of ammo there's plenty of MG 151/20 ammo remaining to take out BT-7s and T-70s. I think 109s with a single MG 151/15 or 20 nose cannon would be less effective than an aircraft with twin cannons. However, gun pods with a convergence of 100-150m should be fairly deadly, but I haven't run any testing on that configuration. The FW 190 with twin MG 151/20s can take out light tanks. The primary problem is speed - with close-in shots inflicting the most damage, the high speed of these fighter aircraft reduces the time window to get those shots on the turret.
