I seem to get shot down a lot but don't die nearly as often as I think I should.  I wonder if the Allies have a more forgiving death model, when crash landing, to balance out the fact that Central have parachutes ?

Its not something specific to certain aircraft.  Its that way across the board even with the ww2 planes.
