Would be nice at some point to have a playable scout car  for all  countries.   I'd  love to see this one in game,  would be fun to use in MP  scenarios.

It would be nice, but I don’t fancy your chances.

Its a skeptic tank.

With properly functioning Air Marshal such vehicles might be really useful, especially if we could find a system for them to act as spotter and direct indirect fire from the heavy howitzers.

Plus, let's not discount the bragging right you'd earn by taking out one of the heavies in one of those.

A Scout Car with a bite. ?

Better still we could have an M17 and let fly at some of those wretched aircraft that are always circling over the tanks. Even the friendly ones......

I quite like the idea of driveable vehicles other than tanks in the game. I often just jump in the free tanks and go for drive around the maps, and I think it would be great if we got some kind of scout/armoured/reconnaissance car or light tank that was faster. They dont have to be super detailed 3D models like the payware tanks either - the same standard as the free drivable tanks in the game are already overkill IMO. The game already has the BA10M and BA64 armoured cars for the Soviets, and the half-track for the Germans, so making these existing vehicles drivable with a fairly basic interior is all thats needed I think.

Add a drivable German Pz 38t and the Russian T-70 light tank and I'd be pleased. ?

The T-70 sorta makes sense, but what does the 38(t) have to bring to the table against 1943 tanks except dying horribly?

It is a light tank, like the T-70. Equitable power. T-70s die horrible too. Possible historical uses for mission builders. :salute:

I'm really not that well informed about German (well, Czech) tanks, but I was under the impression, that while the overall mobility of the Pz 38(t) was good, its cross-country speed was very low.

I'm just wondering, exactly what its role would be in missions.

Pz 38(t)? Hmm)

As a mission builder....  a recon vehicle.

For use in encounters between light tanks and other lesser armored vehicles, heavy machine gun positions and perhaps some anti-tank gun positions. They would just open up some different game play options.

I get that, but why the 38(t)? Apart from it being rather well known and thus a popular choice to model, what makes it particularly useful as a recon vehicle? It is not particularly fast, especially cross-country, it is fully enclosed and its optics are rather bad for 1943, it is very crowded with a four man crew in such a tiny tank, yet for its size it has a fairly high silhouette and it has got a rather outdated armor layout, giving less protection relative to weight than for instance the T-70.

About the only advantages I could see for it as a recon are its overall good mobility, reasonably good range and the fact that it has a dedicated radio operator.

Actually, long long ago in a battlefield far far away,  I played WWII Online

I often enjoyed taking their Pz 38t out to ambush enemy units. In that game the 38t was small and presented less of a target. It also had a pretty good gun for its' size. I would ambush, from the side, two or three... retreat to another chosen position and wait for them to continue looking for me. It often proved most effective. It was a enjoyable experience and is a gratifying memory.

I realize that the TC Pz 38t may not be the same as the WWII Online version... but the good memories remain. ?

I also like the idea of a 50mph   scout car  with some bite.  I think all the combatants  had a fast mover with a medium size gun,  37  50 mm  etc.   Would be great for scouting  in  realistic MP scenarios where you don't have icons on,  have defined attack/defend objectives,  and do not have swarming Attack AC  that  knock you out in the spawn area.  I have been able  to score a good hit %  on a full speed t34, or t70  at a 90 angle moving full speed across my front,  field or road.   This would present a much harder target to hit at speed, and would allow  actual scouting to occur.  Teamspeak all set up these would be great for MP scenarios.

On a side note,  I wish we could actually camoflauge tanks as well.  When parking in grass or bushes, my rounds often times hit my cover, but my opponents do not.   And,   I would love to be able to have a Whirblewind,  that could be camo'd to to look like a Tiger,   spawn in on a few chosen servers,   and open up on the spawn camper attack AC !

90 angle moving full speed across my front,  field or road. at ranges up to 2.6 k,  usually within 3 shots
