reddog=11blueleader* Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Hello Pilots, I recently purchased BOK to fly some bomber missions with the A 20. I just wondered how many of you fly the Havoc and how you like the missions and the aircraft itself? Thanks.
Chief_Mouser Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Lovely aircraft - don't forget to close those cowl flaps though . Gambit made a fine scripted campaign for it - 'Havoc over the Kuban'. Well worth getting. 2 1
SCG_ErwinP Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 I agree with Red_Cat, lovely aircraft!! It has Inlet and Outlet cowl flaps, is needed to close (0%) the Inlet and around 50% the outlet. Remember to fly with escort! 1 1

Thanks Red Cat, I'll keep those cowl flaps closed and I'll get 'Havoc over the Kuban'! 3 hours ago, SCG_ErwinP said: I agree with Red_Cat, lovely aircraft!! BubiHUN Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Very good plane! Use 66% mix, 95 RPM and 90 throttle, and flyies like a charm! 1 1
Gambit21 Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 It's a lovely aircraft. For the Havoc campaign, stay with our formation, listen to your flight leader and he'll take care of you. Bring a sandwich, some of the flights take a bit, but plenty to look at. 1 1
Sublime Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Gambit made this campaign. Its brilliant it really is. Yes close your inlet flaps when you take off. If you dont you.ll notice your plane seems to be vibrating to death. Lol once online I asked "is anyone else getting hella turbulence?" Of course they said yes and I didnt realize my error.. Hehe But ya Havoc Over Kuban is art work. Now a question for gambit. The missions where you search for patrol boats and subs and the one before it you have a patrol zone for vehicles.. i have a lot of trouble finding them. Is it better to get up high to see better? My biggest issue seems to be making sure Im in the search zone... 1 1

I spotted one of those boats well before my leader did, and having no way to tell him about it (devs please take note re radio comms ) peeled off on my own and sank it before anyone else realised. Then went home for tea and medals! Or was that in Sea Dragons... ?

Didnt end well Yeah - well taking off alone or leaving the flight more or less negates the entire purpose of the campaign FYI. It’s your dime and time but I highly recommend flying the campaign as intended. Stay with your flight, preferably with Icons off. 1
Georgio Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Great all-round aircraft, good at pretty much everything including getting you home on one engine... 1

I either gotnmy wires crossed from sea dragons giving me flight lead roles now or my runway spot made me feel I was flight lead? No biggie. Thx for the advice. Yes losing the group of bombers espevially in the first mission from Adler where you patrol for Axis truck convoys.. You lose your flight.. Pssh 16 hours ago, Red_Cat said: Beer? Lmao close. I live in massachusetts so theres a recently legal alternative I prefer. Sorry for mangling that though On 7/8/2019 at 10:23 AM, Red_Cat said: ...but definitely keep alert. Anyone else tried endlessly to race the 109s takong off to try tp whack em getting airborne? I could never beat em to it. Even tried LONG range spraying of weapons anyone else try or god forbid actually make it? 1 1
reddog=11blueleader* Posted July 10, 2019 Author Posted July 10, 2019 (edited) Never used third party Mission or played on line before. I think that I would really enjoy it. I really like the bombers and that is why I purchased BOK. The Havoc is a real killer. What do I need to do to play online and join you guys ? I know I need to get Havoc over the Kuban first thing. Any help will be appreciated and hope to join the bombers crew! After reviewing Havoc over the Kuban I see that it is a single player campaign which is great as well. With 16 missions, that is well worth the price ! Edited July 10, 2019 by reddog=11blueleader* Update
69TD_Hajo_Garlic Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 It's very fast and easy to fly, has a good forward armament for bombers, maneuvers well, and has an excellent bomb load. It's all there. Maybe a bit fragile but our version is not weighed down with extra armor or self sealing tanks and tbh I kinda appreciate that. 1
