Hello there :salute:

I was looking for some intel on the planes available in the game that I quite couldn't find.

Indeed I'm looking for some informations for each variant of the planes and not just it's specifications or history of the "whole branch" of the plane.

For an exemple this is the kind of information I'm looking for:

Bf 109 G4: What is new in this variant compared to the others ? Why was it needed ? How did it fare ? Did the pilots liked it ? Was it mass produced ?

In books, wikipedia et caetera you'll find extensive informations about the plane as a whole and too few about the variants, well for my taste at least :russian_ru:

Since in a simulation those details matter the most, I would really like to better know each plane I'm flying to enjoy it the most.

So if you know where to look I'd be much grateful :good:

One place to look is the Game Update Announcements tab on this forum.  And the Developers Diary.

You will find tons of minute information of each plane at or close to their respective release date.

Also on users post inside of each new entry, a LOT of reading, but also a Lot of information on real life, and game specifics.

That's where I learned that the main diferences on the 109 G4 where bigger main landing gear wheels for rough fields operations, and a improuved wireless radio.

So the information is there, you just need the time to go through it.

But I would sugest to at least check the update posts.

Cheers

Technical specifications can be found here:

As for everything else... There's no one source. You kind of have to go digging through a lot of material, some of it wrong or grossly wrong, and try and find the right details. Fernando is right that the developer diary stretching back years is one of the better resources for accurate version specific model information.
