achieving realistic cockpit angles and dimensions

First off, I'm NOT some fancy-pants guy with access to a real bf109, so i had to settle for sitting in a plain old mig15 instead for comparisons.
But it's feeling close.
Interestingly, the stick feels good being this high. Doesn't collide with my legs when deflecting and can hold it comfortably with my arm across my thigh.

 

Horizontally, it's not far off from this scale model of a cockpit someone here is building.
It's VERY comfortable.

 

As you can see from that pic on the right, i've moved the throttle way back to my mid-thigh. It feels as good as it does on the mig15.
