stilgar Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Does anyone know whether it's possible to set a default for the target distance and wingspan? I'd like quick missions in the Spit IX, FW 190D and P-47D to start with them roughly set up to my convergence and likely target size ( I like to start at 250 m and 32 - 34 feet for a fighter). Maybe there's a text config file lying around somewhere?
stilgar Posted July 7, 2019 Author Posted July 7, 2019 OK, thanks. I've mapped them onto two rotary controls - the response is almost instantaneous compared to using keys for up and down adjustments.
Field-Ops Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Its better to be on an axis anyway for the reason you stated. If your closure rate is faster than a button input can keep up with it nullifies its usefulness

Rjel Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 I can understand why the distance wouldn't return to it's previous setting but in the case of the K-14 and the British gun sights, the wingspan was a manual adjustment and should default to what it was when previously set to wingspan. I'm not familiar with the German sight yet.
