Hello,

being quite new to this sim , sorry if this has been described before : when starting the flight, I got the default cockpit view too close to the gunsight , not the more distanced  one. I have tried this and that, did not quite succeed. I have to punch the minus key on  the numpad to distance myself a bit and be able to fly.

Any  ideas ? Thanks in advance . I got MS SWFFB joystick.

The default view is "Zoomed in"

1. If you have Head Tracking (pause it)
2. Zoom out (mouse wheel i think is a default)
3. Do not bump the mouse while doing this or use the key bind.
4. Save the new full FOV View with F10 this will become the new Default view for that Specific Plane and Model.
(so it wont apply to say All BF109 But only say the BF109 E or F or G you are sat in.)

Hope that helps.

The default view is not zoomed in - it is, in fact, zoomed out a bit.

@famich2005, all of the default cockpit camera files are in /data/luascripts/snapviews/defaults. Copy the one you want back into the snapviews folder, and you'll be good to go.

Hi there

I was trying wrap my head around head control as well.

I did accidentally found the button to save new default position.

But for the life of me i did not found button to reset this player changed setting back to "default" default. ?

Tried  num5 but that resets momentary view but not default one.

Thank you for the hint to disable the head tracking btw.

Is it possible ?

Edit

Never mind i deleted

/data/luascripts/snapviews/*plane name*  file

which regenerated from default directory

A good tip is to reassign F10 to something like Atl+F10 so you won’t accidentally reset your default view ?

Good info, thanks. This has been something I've wanted do for a while, but just never remember to ask how to do it. I just copied all of them to start of clean again, and was surprised to see that there was 102 files, so 102 cockpits/tankpits, pretty impressive.
