How to do multi player as crew member

As far as I know you can play multiplayer with several people as a crew in one plane or tank. How does that work ?

 

I only play SP and I am not good enough to play MP in my own plane or tank, but I think it would be interesting and a good learning experience to sometimes be a crew member. Must I know people to do that or are there players that ask crewmembers at the start of a battle and the matchmaker puts them together (if available)

You go in multiplayer, then you choose a side. At the right bottom, you should have a Button named Become a gunner. Click on it. Then you have a list of planes which can have gunner from your side. Select one plane. A plane will be displayed on the right with all the position you can choose. Select one and validate your choice.

 

Keep in mind, that :

- you can't change gunner position in the game. Only the pilot can navigate from one position to another one. if you want to change, you have to do Finish mision and select another station.

- The pilot has the option to closed the gunner position. (there are some sily people who join as a gunner and shoot their own plane or wingmen. So most of the pilot close the gunner station to people they don't know.

Hi.

I would say. Connect into a MP match,let people know what you intent to do, somebody will likely accept you as his crew member, and its nice to let people know you are taking one of his positions as a crew member (the Pilot Will not be able to use the position you are in, ofcourse). Then you might even be asked to joing on voic chat. He/she most likely will Let you know whatever else you need to know.
