Panzerlang Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) Regarding the in-game footage recorder: is there a way to make it record without the cockpit showing? Or play back without the cockpit? Edited March 29, 2014 by II/JG3Siggi
DD_Arthur Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Not at the moment. No way to do it in RoF either which is a pity as that means no wonder woman view which some people prefer and not much chance of making gun camera footage. However, we are still at the very beginning of development. If it sells well then who knows where on-going development will lead us. RoF has changed dramatically since its first release. 1
Panzerlang Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 That's a shame, it would have made for good gun-cam footage. The best I've managed to do is to play back a track fully zoomed into the gunsight. It's certainly good to be able to activate the cam with a joystick button, with next to no loss in FPS.
Rjel Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) If there isn't a no cockpit view planned, it would be nice if you could mount a camera view to a certain point on your plane to simulate the gun camera view appropriate to a certain plane model, like in the left wing of a Mustang or the nose of a P-38. I'm not sure where gun cameras were mounted in Russian or German planes generally, when they were installed even. [edit] Later versions of the P-38 had the camera mounted in the left wing pylon. Thought I'd add that before someone jumped on me for missing it. Edited March 29, 2014 by Rjel 1
dave9810 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I think a view in front of the cockpit, on the nose just behind the prop would look awesome for some dogfighting vids.
