Trying to get to grips with a new aircraft but not sure which controls are available for the BOS Yak-1, some key-binds don't seem to work.

Does the Yak-1 have:

Boost?

Propeller pitch control and feathering?

Automatic Supercharger mode? (or is only manual)

Can you Interconnect Throttle And Prop / Turbo? (2 functions in the key-binds)

Individual Left & RIGHT Wheel Brakes (the defaults don't seem to work)

Thanks in advance

Yak-1 has no boost. Full power is achieved with the throttle fully forward and RPM maxed. You can run the Yaks at full power and RPM all day with no limitations on the engine except for temperatures.

The propeller pitch is controlled by an RPM governor. You can't manually control the propeller pitch, you just control the RPM and the governor changes the pitch of the blades for you. That's the type of propeller control almost every plane in the sim uses, but the 109s for example can be set to a manual pitch mode if you desire.

Supercharger needs to be toggled at 2500 m altitude.

The toggle to interconnect various engine controls is only present in allied planes on the Spitfire IX and the P-47D right now. The Yak-1 has no turbo - only the P-47D had a turbocharger in the current plane-set. Yak 1 does have fully manual mixture.

The Yak-1 has no individual left and right wheel brakes. Instead, it has a differential braking system tied in with the rudder. You use the apply brakes button to use the brakes. If you add rudder to the left or right while braking, the system automatically applies the the brakes applied in proportion to the rudder uses - so if you use right rudder it brakes more strongly on the right side of the aircraft.

Thanks, that has cleared up a lot of my confusion. I appreciate you taking the time to answer so thoroughly.

No problem. A lot of this stuff is available in the Aircraft Technical Specifications tab in-game or on the forum. Requiem's Youtube Videos are also great for familiarizing yourself with different types, general flight characteristics, and air combat maneuvering. He's a great resource, there's a thread in the forum collecting most of his tutorial videos, as well as other resources.
