I tried to map the 109's brakes to my new Crosswind pedals but the game doesn't see them. They work ok in calibration and CloD sees them ok. so I figure the pedals are working. Anyone have any ideas or is it something up with the game?

TIA. :)

Cancel that, I needed to recalibrate them after changing the angle of the pedals. Doh!

What's "changing the angle of the pedals" mean? I have CH Pro pedals and can calibrate them in windows ok and get the rudders to work but not the brakes. The game doesn't see them when I go to try and assign left and right brake pedals at all. Any ideas?

The Crosswinds allow the angles of the pedals to be changed (foot position) and it changes the calibration. CH-Pros can't be changed as far as I know so that won't be your problem. Are you sure you're fully depressing and releasing the brake on each pedal when you try to assign them in BoS?

Try:

Press one pedal brake and hold, open the game Controls, select the respective brake (left/right) and when the window open release the pedal brake.

Sometimes the GUI only see the axis inverted movement. After, if needed, click in the box for invert.

Thanks Sokiol1.

That worked. I just had to be patient when I did it, then it recognized the brake pedals, both left & right. And yes I had to go back and click the "invert" tab to get them correct.

Great graphics in this game plus the engineering with the flight controls.

I just installed a Sapphire Dual-X R7 265 2GB video card. It really brings out the quality of this game! (great price also for this card as well as the review on it).

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm new to the sim and my brakes were not recognized. I've searched all over the forum for a fix but nothing worked until I tried your recommendation. It also worked for other buttons that I couldn't get it to recognize.

I am having same problem. So I can't map brake axis (left/right) to my bf109. I have CH pedals. Which drivers you use for pedals? I have Windows default drivers at the moment...

Are you following the proper procedure for mapping a controller to each axis? My CH pedals work just fine with the German-style brakes.

Hmmm... What do you mean by correct procedure? Do you have CH control manager installed?

I do have Control Manager installed, but that won't affect your ability to map each pedal to one of the brake axes. When you are on the mapping screen, you just have to press the pedal down for the game to recognize the axis input. If that's not happening, then one thing I can suggest is resetting your key inputs to their defaults and try again.

Got it working... Mechanical issue with my pedals. I had to press harder down with my heel to get axis to other end.
