Dave_Grainger Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 (edited) Hi, What need I do to get IL2 / FC1 to "see" Oculus Rift? I have ROF and IL2-FC1 working on my computer with a CH stick and pedals, TrackIR, and a 49" Samsung curved gaming monitor. Works fine. I have recently acquired Oculus Rift and gotten it working enough to do the two training tutorials and Google Earth, but it doesn't see IL2. When I use the monitor, I first set up my CH controls, activate TrackIR, and then open either ROF or IL2. Everything works. But after activating CH and opening Oculus, I go to IL2 and, while I hear the IL2 sound track in the headphones, the image in the headset is the basic OR background. I think I must need to install OR in IL2 or put IL2 in my OR Library, from which i think the game can be selected? . Is there something I need to load into the OR Library Folder to make it work with IL2; or vice versa? I looked for the tutorial here but didn't find it. Some directions? What, where, and how, please? Thanks! Dave Edited June 19, 2019 by Dave_Grainger
Lensman1945 Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 (edited) 1) In Oculus settings you need to tick the box to allow 3rd party apps. 2) You need to install Steam VR 3) In IL2 you need to tick detect VR Headset Edited June 19, 2019 by Lensman1945
Dave_Grainger Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 Thanks. I got it working with Steam VR. Flew four sorties and it was outrageous! Then I turned the computer off and since bringing it back up I haven't been able to get my CH controls working again. Full sight and sound in the headset; the Keyboard works, but Fighterstick and Pro Pedals are inop. After several initial failures I was surprised when I first did get the CH controls operational; not exactly sure what I did or how to go about getting them working again. Anybody have and solve a similar problem? Is there a specific procedure for bringing up FC1 in SteamVR with CH controls? If so, I need to know what that is. Thanks! Dave
