career with a ju52 possible?

Bought the ju52 a while ago and want to start flying bit but do not really have a purpose..

 

Is it possible to fly a career with it? There are very few missions to download for it right?

Yes, Jezoff, you can fly a Ju 52 career, on the Moscow, Stalingrad and Kuban maps. A change of pace from fighters or bombers, but good fun.

I'm doing a Ju52 campaign at the moment on the Moscow map. It's a little boring as you just do a paradrop or touch-and-go at the destination and then accel time home.

 

EXCEPT last time there were two Russian fighters at the destination and they pursued me. I found that if I flew at treetop level they would just overfly me firing their guns, and I was eventually able to shoot down both of them with the popgun at the rear.

PWCG also does a Ju52 campaign.  Missions are paratroop and cargo drops over and behind the front and transport to forward positions.  Encounters with enemy aircraft are random and can happen.  You will have escorts.

To avoid hovering the mouse above every single airbase to find a squadron that operates the ju52, you can uncheck all other airplanes in the 'start career' menu, in the top left. The remaining hghlighted bases will have a ju52 unit that you can join.

 

Some may find a ju52 career a bit boring, but for those who like navigation challenges, and scenery flying, its a blast.

You can also fly it online in TAW campaign. 

 

It's used to re-supply airfields. It's fun and helps other players.

 

It's a thrill to fly very low to avoid being intercepted.
