Finkeren Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Seeing how we get to have a go at the QMB feature now, I wonder which kinds of missions people will try out first. Maybe this thread can also serve as inspiration for people, giving them new challenges and things to try out for themselves. Personally, I'm gonna first try out some ground pounding in the Il-2 with AAA turned off. I find that dodging flak is far too much of a distraction to properly train rocket aiming. Next I'm propably gonna try out some dogfights at night. I'm interesting in seeing how the shifting light will affect spotting and overall situational awareness. What are the rest of you gonna do?
senseispcc Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 First try to understand all the détails of building a nice and realistic mission and then have fun! FUN is the word for me.
Georgio Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Ground trashing in the IL-2 followed by some juicy Yak intercept missions against Stukas; time for payback....
SYN_Ricky Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Intercept or ground attack scenarios without enemyfighters or AAA, just to practice shooting at target
Brano Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Stuka turkey shooting in LaGG or Yak for sure, different time of day, with clouds....and then ground pounding practice,of course without attention of FlaK.And then FlaK interdictions.I will place one small calibre and one 88 somwhere and will test their firing arc and methods for best way to knock them off.
J4SCrisZeri Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) So, I noticed afternoon 17.30 hours is my preferred light environment. Party cloudy. The scenario looks breathtaking now that it's much more completed and decorated. During the last updates developers made snow a little dirtier, and different fields and surfaces somehow recognizable under the snow carpet. That makes a world of difference. Now the landscape looks rich and various, even if it's basically all white. Well a little dirtier would be perfect (i.e. the snow maps like ardennes in Wings of Prey) with the QMB I made: >dogfights (various planes) >some rear turret missions with the stuka (fun) >some ground attack (bf109 vs train, il2 vs tanks and trucks)All we need now are heavy bombers like the pe2 and the he111 and then no matter when the team finishes this Sturmo game, I'm ok for YEARS Have fun, there's a great product here, seriously. SvAF/F19_Klunk Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 my first was to spawn a ju87 at 3000 m at 0800am above cloud overcast after that rhe same scenario but with less clouds.. to see the sun struggeling to break the horisont with it's first rays hit the snow drits... made the world really pop and i can' wait to see this in occulus.... sure it's "only" eye candy, but man what candy it is
=RvE=Windmills Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Is there some way to do an airfield raid where the enemy is scrambling? I could only seem to get a situation where my flight was scrambling.
FlatSpinMan Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Haven't tried it but you can't set their altitude to Take Off? That'd be a fun option to have.
