262 Windmilling Engine Bug

If you shut down an engine in flight. RPM drops to zero. ....that is incorrect

RPM should stabilize at some value as a function of TAS. L.Dv.T-2262 A-1 and A-2 states that windmilling RPM at 300-350Kmh is about 3000rpm

The value we got from source is ~1200 rpm at 300 kph.
In game we have exactly the same.

What source do you base you complaint on? I've 3 different at hand of which 2 make mention of the RPM for starting the Jumo 004 B1 in flight.

The engine turned by the airstream reccieves the fuel required for enabling the combustion by turning the electrical fuel pump on at a speed of 3000 RPM. When the speed increased by about 1000 RPM the throttle is to be moved from stop to full power slowly and the engine supplied with gas oil.

Don't start with the Riedel starter, engine will be turned by airstream! Favourable speed for starting 1000 - 1200 RPM (appropiate airspeed around 300km/h)

1. Throttle (B) to stop position, fuel valve (A) open.

2. Turn on auxilary start equipment with the ignition switch (C)

3. When speed increased by around 1000 RPM throttle slowly to idle position, than release ignition switch (C). (gas temperature not above upper limit.)

4.Every desired speed (RPM) can now be set with help of the throttle.

 

                       Don't start in altitudes above 4km!
