Occulus went "F**kbook" now....

Dunno if I should still be interested to be honest.

Everythng has clear limits of fine taste, and I guess my idealism is higher than the wish to use the Rift.

Not interested to give the NSA my Retina aswell,and I ve to pay for that at all

 

I can understand that each product needs money for development, but somehow I feel kind of betrayed as part of the kickstarter comm. once.

 

Maybe you notice between the lines,that I am no fan of Suckerburg and is "F**book".

Guess some chinese or taiwan products will flood the market in a few months after original release aswell for less money.

 

However I am a bit disappointed.

I am not a experienced simmer, new to HOTAS and TrackIR use. Using this kind of systems - doesn't one need to have all the handling opportunities on joke, throttle, keyboard and so forth "inside" - I must see my equipment and keyboard to orientate while gaming - with the Rift or similar goggles I will only see the game - or have I misunderstood totally?

No you haven't misunderstood.

A HOTAS system is designed so that you have all the controls you need at your fingertips with no need to look to see what you're touching.

With a little practice I don't think there should be any problem in a game like BOS when you're 'inside' the Rift.

....aaaaaa lot of practice I think.
